Scanners are people who have lots of different interests and want to be able to pursue all of them. We want to keep learning new stuff and doing new interesting projects. Social Media, Memes and Mashups, 8 July
This Scanners Night was rearranged from June due to the tube strike.
You’ll be amazed just what you can do and how quickly with the latest Social Media sites out there - and all for free!
Is your music on myspace yet? Your showreel on youtube? Your photos on flickr? Your writing out there in the blogosphere?
But which one to use? Should you blog, digg, poke or tweet? And is twitter an over-hyped waste of time or the greatest thing ever to happen to scanners?
At Scanners Night on 10th June blogger, designer and creative thinker San Sharma will show us how to use Social Media to make a splash, build a tribe, and supercharge your scanner projects.
He’ll convince you that every Scanner should be on social media of the moment, twitter, because it’s the perfect way to talk about all your disparate interests and attract a tribe of fans. And that tribe could turn into customers when you’re ready with something to offer them.

San Sharma was Creative Director of Enterprise Nation, and managed its presence on the Social Web. He now lives in Hackney with his girlfriend, his gadgets and his three guitars (none of which he can proficiently play) and helps people and companies make things work better, on paper and on screen, as a writer and a designer.

Start Time: 7pm. Don’t be late - we’ll kick off soon after 7.
Finish: The main presentation should finish by 9:30 at the latest but we will be hanging out until 10 to have a drink and a chat.
Cost: Just £10 when booked in advance (£15 on the door)
