Sky Television (no not that one)

Would you believe you can now launch your own TV Channel on the net for free? My friend Jay has been shooting great broadcast-quality time lapse footage of clouds and has launched a 24 hour TV channel called Cloud TV. It features some very nice chillout music as the soundtrack.

You can watch it below or go to his site Cloud-TV.com.

If you have plenty of content, launch your own TV channel at mogulus.com.

    Thanks for the post, John!

When I frist heard of Mogulus I couldn’t believe it – it was the free solution I was looking for to put Cloud-TV to air on a tight budget. Even better, I could utilise all my YouTube clips as the system can import them.

I had the idea for a 24 hour channel that would simply show clouds. Launching this on Sky would be unthinkably expensive. Where would the revenue come from? Well with Mogulus, it doesn’t have to!

In a nutshell it’s a full TV studio in a web browser. Users can either broadcast live using USB or firewire cameras, add live titles, even channel branding. Videos can be uploaded either directly to the site, or imported from YouTube. Users can then put clips into a playlist, cue them, even offer them as “on demand” package. Did I mention all this is FREE?

In short: exactly the solution I needed to fulfil my dream of a 24/7 clouds-only channel.

    Thanks for watching!
